Cranberry Juice Detox Water
A refreshing cranberry juice detox drink recipe made with apple cider vinegar (ACV), unsweetened cranberry juice and water.
Every January the most popular recipes around here are ones that help us detox from indulgent holiday habits. While soups like our Cabbage Soup and Carrot Ginger Soup recipes are high up on the top posts list, it’s the healthy non-alcoholic beverages that are the favorites. In fact, we have a whole Detox Drinks post on the subject. Read about my Sugar Detox journey here.
This tart and sweet cranberry juice detox drink is a variation on our more summery Lemon ACV Drinks and Detox Water recipes. It’s made with just a few ingredients, has no added sugar, and feels like a cocktail. If you’re cutting down on alcohol, you’ll love this healthy sparkling detox water.
Apple Cider Vinegar Benefits
We’ve known the Bragg family for many years and have been using Bragg’s apple cider vinegar forever. You can also find ACV at Trader Joe’s, Sprouts, and other stores. When choosing a bottle, look for organic “with the mother” varieties.
As discussed in our Apple Cider Vinegar Drink, the studies linked below, and Apple Cider Vinegar: Miracle Health System, by Paul and Patricia Bragg, some benefits of drinking apple cider vinegar include:
- Gut health
- Weight loss and management
- Kidney and bladder health
- Heart health
- Body purification
- Antibacterial and antifungal properties
- Blood glucose regulation
Furthermore, ACV has been used medicinally for many years. Hippocrates (c. 420 BC) even used it to treat wounds.
ACV appears to be safe, however, it should be diluted and not overused as it can cause tooth enamel erosion. I limit it to 1 tablespoon per day.
Cranberry Juice Detox Drink Benefits
As discussed in our Fresh Cranberry Smoothie recipe post, cranberries are very high in antioxidants and have some great health benefits.
While many cranberry juices found in stores are sweetened, it’s easy to find pure cranberry juice. For this cranberry juice detox drink recipe, I like to use organic just cranberry juice. Though it’s very tart, it is easy to sweeten to taste with liquid stevia or maple syrup, honey, or agave.

I hope you’ll enjoy this cranberry detox water drink as a healthy alternative to sugary drinks. As always, this post is not intended as medical advice and you should always check with your doctor before beginning any new diets or supplements.
- 3/4 cup sparkling or still water
- 1/8 cup unsweetened organic cranberry juice
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- Organic liquid stevia (I like Trader Joe's)
- 1/4 lemon or orange (optional)
- Fill a medium sized drinking glass halfway with ice. Add the sparkling water, cranberry juice, and apple cider vinegar.
- Sweeten to taste with stevia.
- Add a squeeze of fresh citrus juice if desired.
If you'd like to prepare a larger amount, I recommend using still water and keeping in the fridge in a sealed jar for up to 5 days.
Garnish with fresh or frozen cranberries and a sprig of fresh mint if you'd like.
