Easy and Inexpensive DIY Wall Art
I had been admiring framed botanicals like the ones below from Restoration Hardware ($199 each).
I hesitated on spending the money, as I had a feeling I could find something or make something for less. I was convinced of that after being inspired by a couple of my favorite blogs.
These pretty framed botanical prints Megan made over at Honey We’re Home were just what I was looking for.
All that’s needed is a book of images you like, such as this one (suggested by Megan): http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=widgetsamazon-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=0061626678&fc1=000000&IS2=1<1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr
And some frames.
Beautiful! But, I really think they would look even better with prints of bunnies! Another good idea is to buy some fancy antique frames from the thrift store and paint them with high gloss paint. It makes them look super mod/chic! The only problem with that is they usually don't come with glass so it make the DIY a little more complicated.
I have been hunting for something to put on my dining room for walls. I want something elegant but don't want to spend very much. This looks like just the thing. Maybe a good summer project.
So much fun and so pretty! i love the organic feel to it! Your blog is just fabulous! So glad you stopped by my site so I could find you! I am following you now!
These are sweet! I may have to make some for my “someday English cottage.”
