- Citrus: Fresh orange and lemon slices (I love to use blood oranges)
- Chili Onion Crunch: I use Trader Joe’s Chili Onion Crunch, but any chili crisp works
- Garlic: 1 clove, minced

This citrus baked salmon is an easy, flavor-packed dinner featuring juicy salmon fillets baked over fresh orange and lemon slices, coated in chili onion crunch, garlic, dill, and olive oil. It’s the perfect balance of sweet, savory, and spicy—and it’s ready in just 20 minutes!
Ingredients
- 1½ to 2 pounds salmon (one large or individual filets)
- sea salt and pepper
- 2 medium oranges, thinly sliced
- 2 medium lemons, thinly sliced
- 1 clove garlic, minced
- 2–3 tablespoons chili onion crunch (Trader Joe’s Crunchy Chili Onion)
- 2–3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 3–4 sprigs fresh dill, plus more for garnish
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Prepare the pan: Line a baking dish with a layer of orange and lemon slices.
- Add salmon: Place the salmon filet(s) on top of the citrus and sprinkle with salt and pepper.
- Top with flavor: Spread chili onion crunch over the salmon, sprinkle on minced garlic and fresh dill, and add more citrus slices on top.
- Drizzle: Finish with a drizzle of olive oil.
- Bake: Bake at 350°F for about 15-20 minutes, or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. The cook time will be longer if you use one large filet or very thick salmon, so check frequently to see when it's done.
- Serve: Spoon the pan juices over the salmon and serve with your favorite sides.
