Nutella Filled Braided Baguette
This was oh so good, and so easy to make. Often in the afternoon I crave a sweet treat with a cup of tea – I blame it on my British genes. So yesterday this is what I came up with. Nutella and bread is one of my favorite European snacks. Even though this is not the healthiest snack, Italians eat tons of Nutella and bread and they seem to be very healthy people, so I’m not going to worry too much. Just make your favorite bread recipe, or get a prepared bread dough, and cut it into thirds lengthwise. Fill each rectangle of dough with Nutella, leaving an inch around the edges, and roll into a log, pinching to close the seams. Then braid the logs together, brush with melted butter or egg wash and bake at 325 for 25-30 minutes. It is so good warm from the oven. I think it needs something on top to let you know there’s a sweet surprise inside – drizzle of Nutella? powdered sugar? What do you think?
Will definitely try….
…have you tried QUICHE.
Best regards,
Robert Lau
Hi, it’s a very great blog.
I could tell how much efforts you’ve taken on it.
Keep doing!
Thank you for the comments, please keep reading! We have lots more recipes coming.
Yes, Robert, I have had quiche. I made one last week with asparagus, leeks, and goat cheese. Perhaps I will post the recipe soon.
Mmmmmm this looks delish!
I'd never tried Nutella until I was on a mission trip in Northern Ireland. Two words: tea time. Nutella on white bread every day? Oh, yeah.
Made this today and it was an absolute keeper! Just used a loaf of pre-made bread dough. Impressive and yet couldn't be any easier. I didn't use the brand nutella as our homemade version of nutella is just peanuts and chocolate chips whipped around in my food processor until creamy. I sprinkled the top with some Sugar in the Raw just before baking and it looked pretty fancy for the few minutes it took to put it together! Will definitely be making again. Thanks for the recipe!
