Pretty Pony Birthday Party
My daughter had her 3rd birthday party over the weekend. She wanted a pony themed party, but we were not so into the “cowboy” theme. So we came up with a pretty pink pony party. Here is some inspiration for your next party!
Invitations: hand painted design uploaded to printmything.com. Embellishments from Michael’s.
Cake topper: 50/50 fondant and gum paste. Don’t try to just use fondant, like I did the first time. It is too soft and takes too long to dry, so you will end up with a very short and fat figure!
Birthday girl and her dessert table.
The drawing of my little princess and pony was repeated just by printing onto labels and paper on my home computer. Super easy.
Treat table: chocolate pops, pink meringue cookies, cupcakes, kettle corn, and flowers. Lollipops were made very inexpensively by pouring melted chocolate into candy molds (I got mine on eBay!) with lollipop sticks found at any craft store.
Recipe for meringues here. They are the easiest things to make!
shhhhh, don’t tell anyone, but I used this cake mix for the cupcakes. It was awesome. Great quality ingredients and super quick to make. Oh and that little cake on top I got at Trader Joe’s. Delicious chocolate ganache cake.
I LOVE Wilton’s 4 tiered dessert tower. I hot glued coordinating ribbon around the edges. It’s very customizable.
Fondant cupcake toppers. All you need is a batch of fondant, 2 gel food colors, fondant cutters, and fondant sparkle dust (optional). All found in the baking section of any craft store. They can be made well in advance of the party.

My daughter is turning 3 in December and she LOVES horses. All she talks about is her upcoming pony party. I think I might use some of your ideas, thanks!
It was a wonderful party! I'm preparing my boy's first birthday. May I know how can u put a cake on the top tier of the cupcake stand, as I have the same cupcake stand but don't know how to place a cake on the top?

In March, I planned a princess, unicorn, and pony birthday party for my 5 year old daughter. I found the ideas and photos on your blog to be very inspiring! Thank you so much for sharing! I spent so much time researching ideas that after throwing her party, I started a website http://www.PrincessPonyParty.com to compile the best ideas I found. I included a link to your blog (on the “Party Ideas” page). I hope you’ll visit and let me know what you think.
Where did you purchase the graghic? I love it too…

Hi Margaret, Thank you! I drew/painted the pony and don't have the digital image anymore. So sorry.
