EASY FRESH TOMATO BASIL PASTA

This fresh and easy pasta recipe is loaded with garlic, fresh tomatoes, basil, and capers.

WHAT’S In TOMATO BASIL PASTA?

– 3 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil, plus more to taste – pinch red pepper flakes – 3 cloves garlic, peeled and thinly sliced – 3 Roma tomatoes, diced (or 1 pint cherry tomatoes)

INSTRUCTIONS

Heat the oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat.

1:

Add the red pepper flakes and garlic, and sauté for one minute, taking care it doesn't burn.

2:

 Add the tomatoes and sauté for a minute, then cover and cook over low heat for about 3 minutes.

3:

Stir in the pasta, capers, and basil.

4:

 Season to taste with salt, pepper, and a drizzle of olive oil.
