Crockpot Spaghetti Sauce

A hearty marinara spaghetti sauce secretly loaded with veggies and slow cooked to perfection in the crockpot.

INGREDIENTS

-  Carrots -  Celery stalks -  Yellow onion -  Red bell pepper -  Garlic -  Whole peeled San Marzano     plum tomatoes -  Tomato paste -  Bay leaf -  Fresh basil -  Sea salt -  Red pepper flakes

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all the prepped ingredients in the slow cooker crockpot or Instant Pot.

1:

Set the slow cooker crock pot to low for 6 hours or high for 4 hours.

For the Instant Pot, set to manual for 20 minutes with the valve sealing, then natural pressure release for 5 minutes before carefully removing the lid.

3:

Let the chunky sauce cool enough so that you wouldn't be burned by any splatters. Use an immersion blender to puree the sauce, or carefully blend in an upright blender in batches.
