Turmeric Shots

This turmeric shot recipe with orange and black pepper is a simple homemade wellness shot. A natural homemade remedy with anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties.

Ingredients

  • 2 medium oranges, peeled
  • 1 (2-inch piece) turmeric root
  • pinch freshly ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. Place the peeled turmeric and oranges in a juicer. Follow the manufacturer's instructions to juice. Divide into two small "shot" glasses or jars.
  2. Add a pinch of freshly ground black pepper to aid in the turmeric curcumin bioavailability.
  3. If not consuming immediately, store in an airtight jar in the refrigerator. I recommend using immediately.

Notes

If you don't have a juicer, chop the peeled turmeric and blend with the orange juice.
