healthy living tips

Helping you live your happiest, healthiest, most vibrant life is my ultimate goal with this blog. Adopting a wellness lifestyle of a natural plant-centric diet free of refined sugars and complimented with regular exercise has helped me go from unhealthy dieting to feeling nourished, satisfied, and fabulous. I’ve gone from daily sugar cravings to kale cravings (seriously!). I always assumed I just had a “sweet tooth” and would always crave sugar – I was wrong. When you find a healthy lifestyle you love, you never have to “diet” again. When you eat beautiful, clean, simple, unprocessed food, you feel pure and vibrant from the inside out.  When you feel gratitude for being able to move your body, exercise is no longer a chore, but a gift. Here are some popular fitness, health, and wellness posts to get you started. Feel free to leave any questions and I’ll do my best to address them.
My little yogi and me, the inflexible amateur yogi wannabe 😉 When you take care of yourself, you’re not just helping yourself. You are also a role model for your children, teaching them the beauty of real foods and fun of fitness. Did you know that this is the first generation with a shorter life expectancy than their parents? This fact is due to the poor American diet focused on sugar (sodas, juice, treats), processed foods (empty calories) and animal fats. And it’s a fact I find very disturbing. Let’s be the change.
Most of us with little kids (and even those who don’t) give and give and give, and forget about self care. But when we are healthy, we can give more to others. I notice I actually get more done when I have taken an hour to exercise. Those endorphins do wonders.
My #1 tip is eat naturally vibrant foods, for a naturally vibrant you. For those, check out my recipe index. And perhaps just as important, work toward a positive mindset.
