Quick Sparkling Cranberry Sangria
This beautiful holiday sangria is made with sparkling cranberry juice! It’s a festive and easy Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year’s cocktail.
On Monday a couple of my mummy friends and their kiddies came over for a festive afternoon play date. Our 4 year-olds cut out gingerbread men and stars, and covered them with gold and hot pink sprinkles. They excitedly played outside while their cookies baked, and then sat down to watch How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original version) while they munched their cookies.
Meanwhile, the mummies were having just as much fun as the kids. This lovely mummy brought crackers with Stilton cheese and fig jam. Let me tell you… that, my friends, is a winner. I made a raspberry and asparagus snack which will be posted later.

Your photography is just magical. I love the photo from above especially. What a fun thing to have the mummies over for.
I just read the macaron post – sorry but French is always popular despite what they say is “in or out” and I think macarons are here to stay, kind of like chocolate! Yours look wonderful. I have to admit I haven't given them a try yet – making them, not eating them.
love sangria-cant wait to try this!!
I want to come to a play date at your house! This looks amazing.

Love this sparkly drink! Perfect for this time of year (and easy to put together)….yum!
Is sparkling cranberry juice different than regular cranberry juice?
Yes, it's fizzy 🙂 Enjoy! Regular would be fine too, it just wont have the frizz.
Would substituting red wine for the white wine make a big difference in the taste? I have a couple of bottles of red wine I'd like to use up!
Hi, I love red wine sangrias, and recently had one with lots of chopped apples in it and it was delicious. I'm not 100% sure about the flavor of the cranberry with the red wine, but I THINK it would be good!
Hi
Recently stumbled upon your blog and LOVE it! A couple of questions about this drink…1. how do you thread the cranberries onto the rosemary sprig as garnish. 2. What type of white wine works in this recipe? Brand or type would be great. Pinot Grigio, Chardonnay? THANKS! Happy Holidays!
Hi Kara! Thanks so much the compliment.
To thread the cranberries, just use your fingers to pull off the leaves from the bottom half of the rosemary. Make sure you are using a strong sprig, not a little wimpy one 😉 Then you should easily be able to poke the bottom of the sprig through the cranberries. If not, you could always poke holes with a skewer or toothpick first.
wine… I like to use a drier white since the juice sweetens it up. Any Pinot Grigio, sauvignon blanc, or dry chard will be fine.
Cheers!
Made this for x-mas and everyone loved it. Thank you!
Just thought I'd leave a quick comment to say that we tried this for New Year's last night and it went over really well. Thanks for posting it!
