If you follow me on Twitter, you know that I felt a tickle in my throat this weekend. You know the one. That sneaky tickle that taunts you with the threat of a cold. I think it’s totally unfair. Moms should not get sick. We don’t get to take sick days off work. Toddlers do not stop having tantrums and the dishes do not wash themselves.

So my only option was to fight this bad boy. On Sunday I looked in the fridge for the most nutritious ingredients I could find. Pomegranate juice, frozen and fresh blueberries, fresh spinach, and a banana come together to make an icy cold sweet treat that kicked this cold’s butt. This smoothie is a great immune booster during cold season, but even better, it’s a delicious and easy anytime snack. Try substituting your favorite frozen fruit.
